Digital Safety Culture Training II /free/
Determine the topics you will use in the training to create awareness of digital security culture:
Think about the key issues you need to address to raise awareness. These may include:
Safety and health policies, objectives and procedures.
Make sure everyone is aware of the overall vision of the programme as well as specific objectives and activities. Key outcomes may include:
- Safety and health is a core business value.
- The programme focuses on finding and controlling hazards before someone is injured or becomes ill.
- The programme should have a sustainable focus.
- The responsibilities of the employer under the programme should be specified.
- Programme objectives should be defined.
- This should include assigning roles and responsibilities and encouraging open communication.
Make sure that there is an environment in which everyone can freely express their opinions and ensure that everyone participates in the training with their opinions.
Make sure of the following:
- Check whether the training is easily understood. Take into account the language(s) spoken and literacy levels.
- Emphasise that the secret to success is everybody’s participation. Create an atmosphere of no blame.
- Workers should feel comfortable discussing concerns and reporting problems.
- Also emphasise the workers’ right to participate. Emphasise that all workers have the right to report injuries, even if they are digitally controlled.
- Find the best ways to reach workers digitally. For example, show them the software you use on occupational health and safety. Explain how workers are monitored in the programme and in which dangerous situations warnings are given. You can use more than one method.
