AIM
The aim of this module is to acquaint the trainees with the tendencies and benefits of use of ICT in the OHS monitoring and risk management in the context of the digitalisation era.

The specific objectives are:
• To enable them to take due account of the possibilities offered by ICT
• To help them to make decisions on necessary and feasible changes of OHS in their companies
• To encourage them to adopt innovative approaches and thus to keep up with the rapidly changing environment

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Knowledge:
K1. Outline the main features of the concept of ICT risk management in OHS
K2. Explain the benefits of ICT tools for OHS risk management
K3. Gather information on latest technologies, trends and good practice
K4. Present standardisation and policy framework in relation to information and communication technologies aspects

 

Skills:
S1. Apply solutions for integration of ICT in OHS with regard to the company specifics and available resources
S2. Maintain up-to-date OHS management system in line with the legal requirements
S3. Design OHS system encompassing alternatives of organization, of technological integration, and systematic approach
S4. Show the benefits of employing of innovations in the context of sustainable development

 

Responsibility & Autonomy:
R1. Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in occupational safety
R2. Evaluate the factors that affect whether a company adopts an effective system
R3. Decide on the applicability and encourage their colleagues/peers for adopting of certain technologies and solutions
R4. Anticipate potential challenges to OSH and produce ideas to maximize the benefits of the new technologies, while ensuring safe working environments
