The risk matrix /free/
The risk classification is obtained from the following product:
R = P * D
Where:
- R is the risk
- P is the probability that it occurs
- D is the extent of the damage
Probability / Severity
Probability of occurrence: mainly refers to the existence of a more or less direct correlation between the deficiency found and the probability of the unwanted event occurring.
Severity of damage: refers mainly to the reversibility or otherwise of the damage, it is estimated by analyzing the symptoms, and associating a numerical index.
Occurrence and severity
| Value | Level of probability | Definitions / Criterion |
| 3 | Very likely | There is a direct correlation between the detected deficiency and the occurrence of the hypothesized damage for the workers. |
| 2 | Likely | Damages have already occurred due to the same deficiency found in the same company or in similar companies. |
| 1 | Not very likely | The occurrence of the damage resulting from the detected deficiency would not arouse any surprise. |
