Evaluation table
The following Risk Assessment and Classification table is obtained:
Based on the risk classification, it is necessary to plan and implement prevention measures (measures to reduce the probability of an event) and protection (measures to reduce the severity of damage) of workers’ health and safety. The risk can be:
- Low Risk: improvement actions to be evaluated during the planning phase
- Medium Risk: corrective actions to be planned and implemented in the medium term
- High Risk: corrective actions to be urgently planned and implemented
- Significant Risk: immediate corrective actions
Priority of the intervention
- In the absence or in conditions of negligible exposure risk, there is no reason to intervene.
- In the presence of exposure within the limits set by the standard, periodic environmental and health checks are envisaged.
- In the presence of exposure to risks within the limits, but alarming for the health of workers, it is necessary to adopt prevention and protection measures provided for by the consolidated act.
- The creation of a priority scale of interventions is fundamental in complex situations in order to organize the planning of the necessary measures.
Function of the matrix
Preventive phase: Examine before an intervention, in a systematic way, what must be done and the foreseeable dangerous situations.
Next phase: critically review the considerations made in phase E then of adjustments in reformulating and modifying the matrices and developing and perfecting the organization in a sort of continuous learning and improvement.
